Automate season is an exciting time for us here at Wilco Imaging. We look forward to our remote team assembling from across the country to experience the premiere conference for automation. This year saw over 750 exhibitors and over 25,000 registered attendees[1] in the expansive Detroit Huntington Place Convention Center. Our team canvassed the conference and enjoyed seeing and learning about all the demos in action, showing the versatile ways that technology is continuing to evolve to solve human problems and meet industrial needs. Whether it was Fanuc’s impressive robotic arm moving 1,000 kg payloads or Teledyne FLIR’s cameras demonstrating industrial inspection- every booth had a great showcase and knowledgeable experts.
Wilco Imaging sales representative, Aaron Dugan, notes that “This was an amazing demonstration of all the technology we work with in action, solving real problems, creating never before seen results, in every sector you can imagine. Agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, exploration, safety, and health. All with precision and efficiency! It was great to see what all the great companies are doing and bringing to market. The ability to get to talk with the experts about solutions for our clients is priceless.”
And Andre Paige reflects, “Automate was a blast. It’s always good to see the vendors and manufacturers we work with daily and finally catch up in person. Seeing the new projects and progress dramatically grow each year shows the capabilities of the robotic/automation world. I feel like a kid in a candy shop walking through those doors.”
A kid in a candy shop, indeed and four days doesn’t feel like quite enough to take it all in. We captured some of our favorite partner booths in some of the videos below. Take a look at the highlights, and don’t forget to subscribe to our You Tube channel!
While we’ve had a great time these last two years in Detroit exploring the original hub of American innovation, we are also looking forward to the exciting change of venue. Next year Automate will take place in downtown Chicago on May 6th through 9th at the McCormick Place- the “largest and most flexible use convention center in North America.”[2] Do you plan on attending? Let us know! We would love to meet up with any partner or client in attendance.
