New Acquisition Announcement

En Wilco Imaging Blog

We have exciting news to share: Pacific Crest Imaging (PCI) has officially merged with Wilco Imaging, a Lore Technology company. Two teams with deep roots in machine vision — one built on product expertise, the other on engineering — are now one. Here's what that means for you.

The Same Team You Know, Now Part of Something Bigger

If you've worked with Pacific Crest Imaging, the most important thing to know is this: nothing about the people or quality of work is changing. Steven Nolte and the full PCI engineering team remain in place and are continuing to support customers through every active and upcoming project. The expertise, the hands-on approach, and the commitment to precision that PCI customers have relied on for over 20 years are not going anywhere.

What is changing — for the better — is the infrastructure behind them. Going forward, quotes and invoices for engineering services will come from Wilco Imaging rather than Pacific Crest Imaging directly. This is a behind-the-scenes shift, not a disruption. Your projects continue; your engineering team continues; your relationship continues.

For existing PCI customers: Your point of contact remains the same. All new inquiries and correspondence should be directed to wilcoimagingsales@loretech.io. You'll find the same responsiveness and technical depth you've always expected.

Why This Partnership Makes Sense

Wilco Imaging was founded in 2003 as a North American distributor of industrial imaging products — cameras, lenses, lighting, and accessories from leading manufacturers including Teledyne FLIR, Basler, JAI, Edmund Optics, Computar, and many others. Over more than two decades, Wilco built a reputation as a trusted source for machine vision hardware across defense, biotech, research, aerospace, and industrial automation.

Pacific Crest Imaging grew alongside the industry on a different but complementary path — as engineers first. PCI's specialty is doing the difficult, hands-on work that turns hardware into functional systems: removing sensor cover glass with precision honed over 20+ years, fabricating custom camera housings, integrating machine vision systems from the ground up, and providing the kind of deep technical consultation that can't be found in a product catalog.

Together, these strengths form a complete offering that neither company could deliver alone: a vast, carefully curated product catalog backed by real engineering depth. For customers, that means fewer handoffs, faster paths from concept to deployment, and a single, trusted partner across the full scope of a machine vision project.

Expanded Capabilities, Now Under One Roof

With PCI now part of Wilco Imaging, customers have access to a broader range of services and products than ever before. Whether you're sourcing a SWIR camera for hyperspectral imaging, need a sensor prepared for a UV laser application, or require a fully custom camera housing for an aerospace integration, the combined team can support it.

Sensor Cover Glass Removal

PCI's signature service — performed by hand with over 20 years of refinement. Supports laser, LiDAR, microscopy, UV, SWIR, and hyperspectral applications. Used by universities, defense contractors, and leading tech companies.

Custom Camera Housings & Machining

Bespoke enclosures, mounts, and OEM camera modifications precision-machined to spec. Ideal for embedded, rugged, or space-constrained integration environments.

Machine Vision System Engineering

End-to-end design, integration, and validation of complete machine vision systems — from sensor selection through final deployment and testing.

Engineering Consultation

Sensor compatibility analysis, R&D support, and technical guidance for complex imaging challenges — backed by decades of hands-on application experience.

Specialty Camera Sourcing

Direct access to Wilco Imaging's full catalog: SWIR, hyperspectral, 3D, UV, and thermal cameras from Teledyne FLIR, Basler, JAI, and more — with expert guidance on the right fit for your application.

Industrial Imaging Products

Lenses, lighting, cables, frame grabbers, and accessories from trusted brands — Edmund Optics, Computar, Smart Vision Lights, Schneider-Kreuznach, and many others — all in one place.

Your New Points of Contact

The combined team is ready to support you. For engineering services, camera sensor work, and technical inquiries, reach out to Steven Nolte directly. For product sourcing and sales, our expanded sales team is here to help.

This is an exciting moment for everyone involved — and most of all for the customers who will benefit from what this combined team can now deliver. We're grateful to Pacific Crest Imaging's clients, partners, and the broader machine vision community for the trust that made this growth possible. We look forward to continuing that work, together, under the Wilco Imaging banner.
