Moritex LED Illumination

Established in 1973, and based out of Japan, Moritex develops and sells a diverse range of lenses and illumination for image processing applications, which include Telecentric Lenses, Bi-Telecentric Lenses, FA lenses, coaxial illumination, ring LED lighting, and bar lighting.

High Power LED Spot Illumination

The Moritex High Power LED spot illumination features ultra-bright, highly uniform illumination, particularly for MML coaxial lighting. This lighting is ideal for wafer LCD glass substrate alignment and installation into moving parts.

Coaxial Illumination

The Moritex Coaxial illumination series features cost effective compact coaxial illumination. This lighting is optimized for machine micro lenses and provides excellent uniformity. The MCEL series is ideal for objects with highly reflective specular surfaces, while the CV-CE samller sized series uses L-shaped cabling to fit tight spaces. Simulated Coaxial Illumination

The Moritex Simulated Coaxial illumination series is designed for use with the Moritex machine micro lenses (MML) and other lenses without coaxial illumination. They provide uniform simulated coaxial light. Click below to see the available models.

Simulated Coaxial Illumination for MTL Series

The Moritex Simulated Coaxial illumination for MTL series provides uniform coaxial epi-illumination for wide field of views such as those in the MTL series lenses. These LEDs can use CompaVis backlight as a light source. Click below to see the available models.

High Power Diffuser Ring Illumination

The Moritex High Power Diffuser Ring Illumination series is designed with higher illuminance and diffusibility than conventional ring illumination. It is IP67 rated and can be used in environments where dust and water splash is generated.

Direct Ring Illumination

The Moritex Direct Ring Illumination series features high brightness LEDs deployed at a high density to produce light from 360 degrees, ensuring shadowless illumination. The lineup features many different sizes of ring-shaped illumination. This standard type of LED illumination can be used in a wide range of applications.

Low Angle Ring Illumination

The Moritex Low Angle Ring Illumination series features optimal lighting for recognizing shallow unevenness like embossing and scratches. The low ring LED uses illumination from a shallow angle to ensure that the LEDs are not reflected even on glossy workpieces.

Shadowless Illumination

The Moritex Shadowless Illumination series provides soft, uniform, and evenly diffused illumination on glossy surfaces, making the lineup great for dealing with halation.

Square Bar Type Illumination

The Moritex Square Bar Type Illumination features a four-way bar arrangement and angle adjustment capabilities, this series provides a wide range of illumination.

Bar Illumination

The Moritex Bar Illumination features a high intensity LED array to deliver oblique illumination from any angle to conform to the corresponding surface.

Brick Illumination

The Moritex Bar Illumination features a high intensity LED array to deliver oblique illumination from any angle to conform to the corresponding surface.

Collimated Backlights

The Moritex Collimated Backlighting captures object profiles at a higher precision than traditional backlights, which rely on collimated light projected from the rear and make it difficult to recognize objects. This lighting also removes shadows from stray light reflecting on 3D objects. It is useful in applications that take measurements on high surfaces, as well as applications involving alignment marks on glass substrates.

Direct Backlights

The Moritex Direct Backlights come in a thin, compact design with chip mounts to save space. These lights feature high quality diffused light well suited for lead frame inspection, electronic inspection, silhouette observation, and transparency film inspection.

Narrow Angle Backlights

The Moritex Narrow Angle Backlights are designed with higher directivity in direction of light emitting surfaces; since the wraparound of light to side of the work piece is reduced, its possible to capture the contour of work piece with higher precision.
If using with the Moritex Bi-telecentric Lenses "MTL Series" it can be used for more precise image measurement.

Direct Backlights

The Moritex Direct Backlights feature discreet type LEDs mounted immediately beneath the light-emitting face, this series produces higher brightness levels than edge type products.

Edge Type Backlights

The Moritex Edge Type Backlights provide uniform light using a unique light transfer diffuser plate. The lineup also conserves space with a slim, compact design. These models are well suited for lead frame inspection, electronics inspection, transparency film dirt inspection, and silhouette observation.

IR Illumination

The Moritex IR Illumination series features high-contrast recognition of objects that are often difficult to distinguish in the visible light range. The peak wavelengths are 850nm and 840nm for most models. Highly effective results can be seen when used with infrared compatible cameras and lenses, as there is approx 1.7 times higher a reflectance rate than visible light. This is beneficial in applications such as gold wiring recognition, and plastic bottle recognition.

UV Illumination

The Moritex UV Illumination series provides high-contrast ultraviolet illumination for imaging applications that are often difficult to successfully solve with visible light. It also makes it possible to capture object surface conditions showing different characteristics, especially through fluorescence.

These models are well suited for use with a UV light range camera, and for detection of dirt on glass, or dust on CCD elements.

Diffuse Chip Type Bar Illumination

The Moritex Diffuse Chip Bar Illumination uses the high brightness chip type LED for a uniform bar illumination. The light emitting length can be extended between 150mm to 1200mm.

These models are well suited for applications of one dimensional linear CCD camera lighting, glass substrate scratch inspection, and curve inspection.
